Although Tiger's been MIA in his wife and his kids' life ever since the sex scandal broke, he may be gearing up to battle his soon-to-be-ex for custody of Sam, 2, and Charlie, 8 months.

Although Elin is planning on taking the kids back to her native Sweden, at least temporarily, Tiger “has been exploring his legal options about keeping his children in the state of Florida,” an insider tells Life & Style.

Elin is going after full custody, and is planning on bringing up the kids with very limited involvement for their father, according to reports. “What normally happens is that the judge rules that [the mother] can go wherever she likes as long as it doesn’t cut the father out of the children’s life and make visitation difficult for him,” says celebrity divorce lawyer Raoul Felder.

But taking the kids out of the country where they were born and where their father lives could prove difficult for Elin. And if Tiger decides to fight her, it could make for a very long and drawn-out battle for Sam and Charlie.

Perhaps Elin would have a better chance of taking her kids if she doesn't divorce him!
