We just spotted a newly single Reese Witherspoon out and about in Brentwood, looking pretty down in the dumps following her split from Jake Gyllenhaal.

Poor Reese! Both she and Jake were in town this weekend, but our photogs say that they never saw each other. Guess they really have called it quits!
