BMURPHY061307_08_X17.jpg The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office has listed Brittany Murphy's cause of death as pneumonia with prescription drug intoxication as a secondary factor, and now they're saying that this tragedy could have been prevented if the actress had sought medical help sooner.

Assistant Chief Ed Winter told People, "This death could've been preventable. Murphy was planning on seeing a doctor, but she unfortunately passed away before she did. This was a case of a person with pneumonia who was anemic who was taking medication when she should've been getting medical treatment."

Chief Investigator Craig Harvey revealed that the 5'3" actress weighed 115 pounds at the time of her death, and though her passing could have been prevented, Harvey added that she "wasn't the healthiest person in the world."
