tigermom.jpg While the world was waiting to hear what Tiger Woods had to say today, his mother was there to support him as he tearfully apologized to his family, fans and the press for his "irresponsible and selfish behavior."

After his lengthy statement, an emotional Tiger made his way to his mother Kultida Woods and gave her a hug. When asked by MSNBC what she whispered into his ear, Kutilda replied, “I said 'I’m so proud of you. Never think you stand alone. Mom will always be there for you and I love you.'"

Aww, we're sure he needed that hug and several more after making his apology at the TPC Sawgrass golf club in Ponte Vedra, Florida this morning. Even though it was long overdue, we can't imagine how difficult (not to mention humbling) it was for him to speak out today...
