farrahsorryaa.jpg When Farrah Fawcett was left out of the "In Memoriam" tribute at the Academy Awards on Sunday, her family and fans alike were understandably disappointed.

Though Leslie Unger, spokeswoman for the Academy refused to apologize, stating, "I would not say that it was an oversight," Bruce Davis, who was responsible for the segment (and has been 1993) has issued a formal apology.

Davis says:
"There's nothing you can say to people, particularly to family members, within a day or two of the show that helps at all. They tend to be surprised and hurt, and we understand that and we're sorry for it."
