The Queen of Goop, Gwyneth Paltrow, admits that she recently abandoned her clean-living and eating habits for a bucket of fried chicken and a bottle of beer.

But have no fear, this wasn't the result of all those cheating rumors (in fact in the new interview for Harper's Bazaar Gwyn calls husband Chris Martin "supportive" and "lovely"), it was all for a new role in which she plays an alcoholic country star on the verge of a breakdown.

"I was so bad with the food and alcohol in Nashville," says Gwyneth about her habits on location for her new film, Love Don't Let Me Down. "If you saw me naked [now] compared to what I looked like when I did Iron Man 2, when I was exercising every day – I'll get it back together, but I've never eaten so much fried food and white flour in my life, ever."

If her role as a washed-up, alcoholic country star sounds familiar, it's because it is. In fact, it sounds exactly like the role that won Jeff Bridges an Oscar in Crazy Heart, which Gwyneth seems to be gunning for.

She even learned how to play the guitar for the film, where she was able to get some tips from a pro: husband and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

"He was so helpful, so sweet and encouraging. I mean, it's embarrassing to be playing in front of your husband, especially when he's in one of the world's most successful bands," Paltrow said.

Although Gwyneth may have mastered the guitar, there's one thing she'll never get used to: the paparazzi. But even the grumpy-on-camera Gwyn admits that she doesn't have nearly as much attention as one of her famous exes: Brad Pitt.

I feel bad for them," she said of Brangelina. "They have it worse than anybody on the planet. I mean, we get hounded too, but not like that." Yet, somehow, they manage to handle it with more grace than anyone...even Ms. Goop herself!
