Tiger Woods arrived in Augusta, Georgia yesterday, where he's to compete this week in his first tournament since the sex scandal, without his wife Elin by his side.

Although the couple has been spotted together since the Thanksgiving weekend accident that sparked the unraveling of their life and marriage, it is unclear if Elin, who still isn't wearing her wedding ring, has truly taken Tiger back.

In fact, Elin, who attended nearly all of Tiger's golf tournaments in the past, was a no-show at his very public apology in February.

But even without Elin there, Tiger seemed to have the support of the public. The NY Post reports that Tiger's practice round was greeted with "mild applause," while one supporter yelled out, "Welcome back Tiger. We missed you," which made the golf great smile.

Tiger begins his bid for the Master's title on Thursday. He'll hold another press conference from Georgia this afternoon.
