Tiger Woods' Dad Speaks From The Grave In New Nike Ad

Nike has revealed its new TV commercial - which will begin airing today on ESPN - featuring golfer Tiger Woods, in an intense black and white close-up, staring silently at the camera.
And in a bold move, the voice of Tiger's late father Earl can be heard in the background:
- "Tiger, I am more prone to be inquisitive to promote discussion. I want to find out what your thinking was. I want to find out what your feelings are, and did you learn anything?"
Nike has stuck by Tiger's side since the sex scandal broke late last year, but it looks like they aren't trying to shy away from his recent controversies. Will this ad help allow America to forgive Tiger, or does he need to kick butt in the Masters first?

Does Nike's new ad humanize Tiger Woods after sex scandal?
No. Tiger looks bad; Nike looks bad.
Yes, it makes the viewer feel like people can learn from their mistakes ... and wear Nike while doing it.
I'm ambivalent -- it's just weird! |
