It's just like they say, while the wife's away, the man will... shop?

With Victoria Beckham (who was just named the "World's Most Glamorous Celebrity" by Max Factor cosmetics) currently in London, hubby David went out solo earlier today, buying t-shirts for the boys at Lifesize @ Fred Segal in Santa Monica.

An X17 photographer on the scene tells us the following:

"David was so relaxed and in great spirits. It really seems like he wants to just be an average guy, treated like a regular person and not a celebrity. He's a nice guy."

If only Becks was just an ordinary dude at a clothing store! An ordinary dude with an amazing bod, a gorgeous fam and talent to spare, that is.
