Jane Lynch, star of Glee, exchanged wedding vows over the weekend to Dr. Lara Embry. The two tied the knot at the Blue Heron restaurant in Massachusetts.

Executive chef and co-owner Debra Snow has been planning the event for months with Lynch and Embry. Snow gave us these exclusive details:

"They were very low-key and designed the menu with me. They started off with lobster triangles, shrimp cocktail and artichoke fritter ... the house specialty. For the main course ... a choice of striped sea bass and trouffled mushroom salad or pan seared breast of duck with duck confeit on top. Their three-tiered cake was gorgeous filled with chocolate mousse and vanilla-cream frosting."

As for why they chose her restaurant, the Blue Heron, Snow says it may have been for three reasons. She tells X17online exclusively:

"Jane and Lara chose Massachusetts because it's legal for gays to marry in this state. As for why our restaurant, it could be because a lesbian couple owns it (Snow and her partner Barbra White), or it may have been the fact that Dr. Embry graduated from Smith College here in Massachusetts. For whatever reason, we were delighted to have them."

The 20-minute ceremony, attended by twenty-one guests, was held in the restaurant's patio. Snow adds, "The couple is extremely warm. Oh, and Lynch was very generous with the tip!"
