katherinemichaelWM.jpgKatherine Jackson is talking candidly to NBC's Dateline about how her son, Michael, feared for his own life. The 80-year-old matriarch reveals:

"He told me several times that he felt that people wanted him gone, wanted him dead. He would always say that. For him to say that, he must have known something. Some of the mean, vicious people didn't want him around for some reason. They're greedy."

Jackson, who is the legal guardian of Michael's three children, also recalls the last time she saw her son alive ... one week before his death.

"We had a really good time together. I wanted to remember him smiling and laughing and having a good time the last time I saw him."

The Dateline special, Michael Jackson: A Mother's Love, airs tomorrow on the one-year anniversary of the King of Pop's death.
