X17 XCLUSIVE - Lindsay Screams For Carvel Ice Cream

Lindsay Lohan is no doubt a fan of Carvel Ice Cream ... even if her mom has had some recent drama with the ice cream brand. Check out the cake Linds ordered in honor of her favorite HBO series, True Blood!

Lilo and sister, Ali are also both owners of an exclusive Carvel black card ... given only to certain high profile celebrities who can bring significant publicity to the Carvel brand. Other celebs who carry the black plastic: Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Kendra Wilkinson, Paris Hilton and Sarah Jessica Parker, Howard Stern and Jerry Seinfield, just to name a few.

The black card also allows the cardholder to receive up to $25 worth of free ice cream a week for 75 years. But here's the catch ... the cardholder has to be present when getting the ice cream.

X17online has learned exclusively that Dina does NOT have her own black card, and she's been abusing one that belongs to Lindsay's sister, Ali. Our Carvel source tells us this is the reason Dina Lohan was denied her recent purchase at a Long Island Carvel store.

The West Los Angeles store has been one of Lindsay's favorites for years. Here she is walking out with a sweet treat back in April 2009. The store's owner tells us that Lindsay and Ali have been coming to this location for years and both have never used their black cards even though each of them have one in their name. As for Dina, the owner tells X17online exclusively:

"Dina's most likely just taking advantage of the card. Of course she was denied use because her name's not on there. Not everyone is selected to get one. The only celebrity in the family is Lindsay therefore Carvel would not have issued one to Dina nor to Ali."

Carvel has just issued this statement:

As part of Carvel’s 75th Anniversary celebration last year, we issued 75 Black Cards to celebrities. These cards were issued in the celebrities' names and require the card holder to be present at the time of use. Many celebrities have enjoyed their cards at our Carvel Ice Cream shoppes and have shared their excitement with being included in the celebration.

Unfortunately, the Lohan family has been abusing the card. While the card was issued in Lindsay's and Ali’s names only, her extended family has repeatedly used the card without either girl present. At first, we graciously honored their requests while explaining that the Black Card was not a carte blanche for unlimited Carvel Ice Cream for the extended Lohan family and friends. After more than six months of numerous and large orders for ice cream, we finally had to cut off the card and take it back.
Dina Lohan reacted badly and called the police to have her card returned. The police responded and did return the card to Dina with instructions not to use it again.
This is an unfortunate situation where certain people feel entitled to use a celebrity’s name for their own purposes. We regret that the Lohan family is upset and hope this matter is put behind us quickly.
