Today we snapped Nicole Richie arriving at traffic school in Van Nuys, and even though her probation has been extended due to special circumstances (aka Harlow and Sparrow), it looks like the hot mama is taking it very seriously!

Nicole's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley (yup, she's Lindsay Lohan's lawyer as well) has confirmed that the starlet's probation has been extended until March 2011, due to the fact that she was granted a leave of absence from her alcohol ed classes to raise her children.

Speaking of her children, what do you think she tells them every Wednesday when she leaves the house to go to her alcohol ed class? "Hey cuties, mommy is going to school to learn about why driving on the wrong side of the freeway while intoxicated is a bad idea. Smooches!"
