Eclipse's Opening Day Box Office Falls Short

New Moon raked in $72.7 million during its first day - a Friday - last year and Eclipse earned just $68.5 million total this Wednesday... a number that combines over $30 mil in grosses from midnight Tuesday showings and then Wednesday evening showings.
But will Eclipse make more money than New Moon? The first Twilight sequel took in $296.6 mil during its domestic run.
Who else is psyched to see the third installment of the teen vampire romance franchise this weekend?
