DCbond.jpg The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly is all about the struggling Bond franchise, and the mag reports that it will "likely be years before 007 returns to the screen," due to money troubles at MGM, which has been for sale since November of 2009.

“No franchise can afford to be away from screens for that long anymore,” a former MGM exec tells EW. “You lose too much momentum. Even for Bond, it could be deadly.” A financial analyst familiar with the MGM sale added, “[MGM] should sell the Bond franchise for a billion dollars to some sovereign company in Abu Dhabi and promise to make Bond movies in Abu Dhabi from now on."
