Judge Marsha Revel has been replaced in the Lindsay Lohan case, and a courthouse source tells X17online exclusivley that it's for "unethical" practices.
Just last Friday, District Attorney Danette Meyers raised an objection with the courts claiming Judge Revel had been communicating with the Lohans ... without notifying the DA of the conversations.
Jane Robison of the LA DA's office, confirms to X17online:
Judge Eldon Fox will now be the presiding judge in the Lohan case. Lilo and Judge Fox have a history. Back in 2007, the judge handled the civil lawsuit case that was filed against Lindsay stemming from her DUI arrest.
Judge Fox also handled Courtney Love's drug possession case, Winona Ryder's shoplifting trial ... as well as Prison Break star Lane Garrison's manslaughter case.
Do you think this will help ... or hurt Lindsay's case?

- "Judge Marsha Revel is no longer handling the case. Both sides need to be present during any communication between the defense and prosecution. For that reason, our prosecutor raised an objection."
