Paris Hilton's lawyer, David Chernoff, is urging the public not to rush to judge Paris after news of her arrest for possession of cocaine broke early this morning.
In a statement, he said:
- "Paris Hilton was released this morning on her own recognizance. This matter will be dealt with in the courts not in the media and I encourage people not to rush to judgment until all of the facts have been dealt with in a court of law. There will be no interviews and no more comments at this time."
Paris was booked on possession of cocaine at 2am this morning in Las Vegas after her boyfriend was pulled over for a DUI and the cops found a small amount of cocaine in the heiress' purse. She was released soon after on her own recognizance.
A source close to the situation told X17online that the purse was not Paris', that she borrowed the accessory from a friend and didn't know the coke was in the bag.
