Jessica Simpson held tightly to her boyfriend Eric Johnson as they left their New York City hotel yesterday to head out on a double date with Pete Wentz and sister Ashlee.

Of course, baby Bronx was also along for the ride!

But New York hasn't been just about fun for the elder Simpson. Jessica already unveiled her new fashion collection earlier this week, but she's also been hard at work on her new Christmas album.

Best friend and Price of Beauty co-star "Cacee Cobb is working on it with me. She A&R’ed my country record and my record before that.” Jessica told Just Jared. “And I’m working with The-Dream and Tricky Stewart who are amazing producers. They just did like Katy Perry’s last record. Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’ and Rihanna’s ‘Umbrella’.”

That certainly sounds like a promising team to help Jessica return to her pop music roots after a disappointing country album!

But the singer, who's already put out a Christmas album, says we can expect some surprises with this one.
