Lady Gaga, an outspoken opponent of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" law (who took as her escort to the VMAs gay and lesbian military members) has made a video urging senators and constituents to work to repeal the 1993 law.
"It is my belief that no one person is more valuable than another," Gaga says in the black-and-white video, in which she sits reading off cue cards in front of the American flag.
Lady Gaga says "not only is the law unconstitutional, but it's being unfairly unforced by the government," accusing military members of "gay profiling."
She urges senators including John McCain to stand up and support the men and women of every sexual orientation who have fought to defend our country.
