Now that Lindsay could be facing jail time for failing her mandatory drug tests, will she end up checking into Morningside Recovery in Newport Beach? The beachside rehab was the first treatment facility recommended for Lilo by former judge, Marsha Revel. However last minute, Lilo's doctors requested that she be sent to UCLA Medical Center due to her prescription pill addiction.

As for her recent relapse, Morningside's Executive Clinical Director Dr. Kenneth Perlmutter tells X17online:

"People with addiction problems don't get better magically, and she's really been making an effort to make herself better. The fact is most people cannot 'make' themselves better; that is why adequate treatment is so necessary. It is unfortunate that, more times than not, public figures, like Lindsay Lohan, cannot get the help they truly need."

Dr. Perlmutter, who believes "long-term recovery" is key, adds:

"Individuals who lead lifestyles impacted by the competing forces of media and management, complex family relationships, and their own struggles with mood difficulties, substance abuse, and psychiatric challenges, are often interrupted in their efforts to get the longer term care their condition demands. When shorter-term treatment episodes prove inadequate (as evidenced by relapses, losses, and worsening legal and relationship problems) a focused, phased, concentrated treatment course becomes the only way to go."

Morningside owns various apartments in Newport ... all with satellite TV, high speed internet and a twenty-four hour staff. One look at the oceanfront properties and there's no doubt the rooms are "beautiful, spacious and comfortable" as stated on the Morningside website.

No word on whether Judge Elden Fox will order Lindsay to the Newport Beach facility.
