TLC's Sister Wives (a real-life Big Love) premiered Sunday and attracted more than just the attention of TV viewers.
Monday, police in Lehi, Utah, said that they were investigating Kody Brown and his four wives for a possible charge of felony bigamy.
"We are disappointed in the announcement of an investigation, but when we decided to do this show, we knew there would be risks," the Browns said today in a statement. "But for the sake of our family, and most importantly, our kids, we felt it was a risk worth taking."
Kody has three wives (and a possible fourth) and 13 children. He and first wife Meri are legally married while the others were wed in a "spiritual ceremony."
They had to have expected this!
