adamlambertconcert.jpg Adam Lambert has been asked to tone down his performance in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this Thursday, and the pop star has agreed to comply with the guidelines set by the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage.

Malaysia's Islamic opposition party claims that Lambert "promotes homosexuality", but Lambert countered that he "promotes living ANY lifestyle that includes the freedom to seek love and intimacy. Gay, straight, bi, young or old. It's all inclusive."

In an interview with the Associated Press, Lambert said his "main goal is to keep people entertained — not to make them uncomfortable. It's something I'm doing out of respect." Lambert added, "It's just one little thing. A man kissing another man is something that government really doesn't appreciate."

Lambert said it was a tough decision, but in the end he decided not to cancel the show. "[To] me, there are so many amazing fans in Malaysia that it's more important for me to be able to come and do my show there for them and entertain them and thank them for supporting me."
