russellbrandwed.jpg Katy Perry and Russell Brand got married in a traditional Indian ceremony at the Aman-i-Khas resort in Rajasthan, India this morning. The lux hotel is near the Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary where Brand proposed to Perry last December, and the lovebirds tied the knot in front of approximately 80 guests.

Yesterday Brand was at the tiger reserve, and two of his bodyguards allegedly assaulted four news photographers, one of whom worked for the Associated Press. Russell hasn't released a statement on the matter, and it looks like none of this put a damper on his big day with Perry.

The day before this incident occurred, we spotted Brand and Perry when they landed in Jaipur, and the pop star was sporting a Nath on her nose and ear, which is removed by the groom to symbolize the end of bride's virginity. After that sex ban Katy reportedly imposed on Russell in the days/weeks leading up to their wedding, we're sure these newlyweds are going to have a good night ahead of them!
