Virginia Makopo, a former dorm matron at Oprah's South African Leadership Academy for Girls, was found not guilty of fondling six girls back in 2007 at the school.
In the following statement, Lady O expressed her disappointment with the verdict:
Oprah's Leadership Academy opened back in January 2007 with 152 girls ... all hand selected by Oprah out of more than 3000 applicants.
No word on whether she'll include this topic in one of her future shows.
In the following statement, Lady O expressed her disappointment with the verdict:
- "We began this child molestation trial in 2008. More than two years later, I am profoundly disappointed at the outcome of the trial. I will forever be proud of the nine girls who testified with the courage and conviction to be heard."
