127 Hours And Black Swan Top Independent Spirit Award Nominations

The Independent Spirit Award nominations have been announced, and the nominees for best picture include Winter’s Bone, 127 Hours, Black Swan, Greenberg and The Kids Are All Right.
Winter’s Bone earned seven nods total, and The Kids Are All Right snagged five, including a best actress nod for Annette Bening. Other ladies in the running for the best actress category include Jennifer Lawrence, Natalie Portman, Greta Gerwig, Nicole Kidman and Michelle Williams, and it should be noted that there were six nominees instead of the usual five. James Franco, Ben Stiller, Ronald Bronstein, Aaron Eckhart and John C. Reilly round out the best actor category.
The ceremony honors movies that cost less than $20 million to make, and the awards will be presented on February 26, the day before the Academy Awards.
