Oscar-nominated actress Jill Clayburgh, most known for her role in the 1978 film An Unmarried Woman, has passed away at the age of 66.

Clayburgh, who most recently starred as the family matriarch on ABC's Dirty Sexy Money, battled leukemia for over 21 years.

She died Friday at her Connecticut home.

Clayburgh, who frequently took on empowering, feminist roles, including the one in An Unmarried Woman that earned her an Academy Award nom, also appeared in The Practice, Nip/Tuck, Law & Order and had a recurring role as Ally McBeal's mother on Ally McBeal.

She is survived by her husband, playright David Rabe, and their three children.
