Dawn Holland, the Betty Ford Center staffer who was fired for speaking to the media after the alleged assault by Lindsay Lohan, has dropped the criminal complaint against Lilo.

Holland's attorney, Keith Davidson, released the following statement:

"Dawn will not continue to press charges against Lindsay, nor will she be assisting any further in the investigation or prosecution."

Davidson added to his statement that "a crime has quite simply not been committed by Ms. Lohan."

Earlier this week, Holland had claimed to TMZ that she was called to perform a breathalyzer test on Lindsay the night of December 12 "which Lindsay refused to do. She was very angry, out of control." The ex-staffer then said the 24-year-old actress pushed her and went inside the house and called 911. Holland then picked up another phone inside the house to speak with 911, but Lindsay "kept yelling and cursing and screaming" in the background. In addition, Holland revealed Lilo had "twisted my arm and my hand."

What a difference a few days make!

Although Holland has dropped the charges against Linds, a source tells X17online that The Betty Ford center is still under investigation with The California Department of Public Health. We're told that Holland is also a part of that investigation due to her violation of California's Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
