It's always seemed like Britney Spears and her manager/boyfriend Jason Trawick were a happy and low key couple, but now Britney's former husband Jason Alexander tells Star Magazine that the pop princess confided to him that Trawick beat her -- and she was pregnant with his child!

Alexander told the mag, "Britney is in an abusive relationship. She told me her life had turned into a nightmare." Spears and Alexander reportedly stayed in touch after their 55-hour marriage was annulled in 2004, and in a recent conversation Spears allegedly told her former flame that Trawick "hit her so hard it gave her a black eye." Spears also revealed to Alexander that she had been pregnant with Trawick’s child earlier this year.

So why is he speaking out? Alexander says he's telling this story because he's "really concerned" for Britney who he feels is “telling me these secrets as a way of getting out of this.”
