Blake Lively Named The Face Of Chanel's Mademoiselle Handbags

Blake Lively has just been named the face of Chanel’s new Mademoiselle handbag line ... in other words, even MORE free Chanel swag for the fashionista!

Lively said of the honor:

“Though I am the face of [the handbag], I will carry it like every girl. I will always feel it’s more than just a purse. It’s a quilted case full of lipstick, love letters and the dreams and possibilities that I have always felt every time I see that beautiful ‘CC.’”

It's really no surprise the Gossip Girl landed the gig. The blonde beauty has been spotted hanging out with Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld at numerous Paris runway shows, and this man is definitely picky when it comes to choosing his friends. Lagerfeld has said of the actress: “She’s a kind of American dream girl”. Aww!

After her recent interview in this month's Australian Cosmopolitan, we have to agree with Karl. The Town star admits: "I don't think I've ever been to a club other than to see a band or if the Gossip Girl producers are throwing an after party specifically for us to go to, or the red carpet". We must admit, we never see the responsible actress out clubbing.
