charlieupdate129.jpg Charlie Sheen's rep confirmed to X17online that the 45-year-old actor had checked into rehab, and now a source tells Access Hollywood that Martin Sheen was the one who drove his son to Promises in Malibu on Friday.

Martin reportedly spent Thursday night with his son in an attempt to convince him to go to rehab, and Charlie's mother Janet came to the house for a meeting the next morning, at which point it was decided that Charlie would check in to Promises.

After pleading guilty to a misdemeanor count of third degree assault last August, Sheen was sentenced to 30 days at the famed rehabilitation facility over the summer, so hopefully he'll get the help he needs this time around.
