sheencigWM230.jpgApparently Charlie Sheen needed an extra day before heading off to rehab.

Despite a report claiming the 45-year-old actor was driven by his father, Martin Sheen, to Promises in Malibu on Friday, an executive producer on Two and a Half Men alleges Charlie "went into rehab on Saturday."

"Charlie hopes to be back at work in the near future but there is no time frame. Regaining his sobriety is what is most important," Mark Burg says to People.

Burg also claims that Sheen "never drove to Malibu" and "Promises was not an option."

Still, nothing has been officially confirmed and Sheen's rep has not released a statement about the actor's whereabouts. Wonder why?
