Lady Gaga's instant hit single "Born This Way" is already the fastest selling song in iTunes history, but fans and critics alike are complaining it rips off Madonna's "Express Yourself."

Personally, we also think it sounds like Kelly Rowland and David Guetta's "When Love Takes Over," but that's beside the point. The lyrics are new and bold and the song stands on its own, right?

Caryn Ganz at Amplifier calls it "overworked, overwrought, noisy, cheesy, and very, very derivative," while Rolling Stone points out that Madonna's "Express Yourself" was "just a knock-off of the Staple Singlers' 'Respect Yourself.'"

Plus, aren't we all happy that - as expected - Gaga's anthem isn't a self-indulgent ballad? Listen to the track above and sound off in the comments below!

In other Gaga news, the controversial pop star's Grammy get-up is rumored to involve some sort of a giant egg. Don't worry, it's supposed to tie in with "Born This Way" somehow!
