So says the Grammy winner herself!

Lady Gaga phoned in to Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show this morning to talk about her "Born This Way" performance at the Grammys and why she showed up in a giant egg:

"I was in there for about 72 hours. It was a very creative experience. It was time for me to really prepare and think about the meaning of the song and get prepared for the performance. I really wanted to be born on stage. The creative vessel was helpful for me to stay focused. We had it backstage so that I was able to really stay in this sort of creative, embryonic incubation. This is what I do, Ryan. I'm so passionate about this record and the meaning of the album."

Gaga also talked about her upcoming album and a few of the track names, including "Judas," "Marry the Night," "Government Hooker" and "Hair."

Not sure if we believe the whole 72 hours thing, but LG is a dedicated performer to her craft so who knows!
