Lady Gaga has released her first promo pic for her highly anticipated album, Born This Way.

It's an alien-like image that gives Gaga the appearance of being highly emaciated, with sunken cheekbones.

Gaga has had issues with fluctuating weight, appearing dramatically thinner in recent months than she did while on tour late last year:



In fact, an ex-tour manager claimed in an unofficial biography that Gaga was hospitalized several times in 2009 due to her yo-yo dieting.

Gaga's album drops May 23rd.
