mariahcarey230WM.jpgMariah Carey and hubby Nick Cannon are getting ready to welcome their twins, and in anticipation of their big bundles of joy, the soon-to-be parents were thrown a blue-and-pink wonderland-themed baby shower, according to People.

Friends and family gathered at the Conservatory Grill at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills ... sipping Angel Champagne. In addition to pink and blue balloons and small cocktail tables, pink roses and blue hydrangeas filled the restaurant.

Nick, 30, and Mariah, 41, arrived in a black Rolls Royce at 7pm. A source tells People:

    "Mariah has been anxiously awaiting her shower, and she was very excited when she arrived at the hotel. She couldn't wait to celebrate her baby twins with her friends."


The couple received lavish gifts including two hand-made chairs and two life-size stuffed giraffes.

The source adds:

    "Mariah had the best time at her shower. She was very touched by how nicely everything turned out and excited about all the generous gifts she received. She has been feeling a bit tired and worn out lately, but the shower was an event that she really enjoyed and that made her very happy. Now she can't wait to meet her baby twins!"


Certainly sounds like an event to remember!
