J. Lo, Jeremy Renner Cast In New Ice Age Movie

J. Lo has warmed audiences on American Idol, but she's about to get cold: the diva has signed on to the new Ice Age movie.
In Ice Age: Continental Drift, out in 2012, Lopez will play Shira, a snow leopard.
Also new to the franchise are Jeremy Renner, who will play a character named Gutt, Drake as Ethan, Wanda Sykes as Granny and Aziz Ansari as Walter.
But familiar faces will be back; Ray Romano as mammoth Manny, Queen Latifah as Ellie, Dennis Leary as Diego, John Leguizamo as Sid, Seann William Scott as Crash and Josh Peck as Eddie.

Lopez and Anthony will travel the Americas for three months selecting singers and dancers from different nationalities for the show. Their trip will be filmed in three languages and broadcast simultaneously in 21 countries across North America, Central America and South America.
"The Latin culture is a tapestry that is rich in passion, tradition and artistry," Lopez said. "We are going to places where all of this talent lives and wouldn't have otherwise been discovered. This journey for me and Marc is going be exciting and groundbreaking.â€Â
J.Lo has not yet signed on to another season of American Idol, but the same producer is behind both shows, so we're guessing he'll accommodate her.
