Charlie Sheen is going global.
The actor plans to revamp his Violent Torpedo of Truth show into An Evening With Charlie Sheen and go on a world tour. He'll start in Australia the first week of June and go on a two-week, six or seven-city tour encompassing Australia and several cities in Europe and Asia.
Sheen told a Sydney radio station he is "relieved" to be done with the Torpedo tour.
He said he thinks the new tour will attract more high-brow audiences, and that Europeans will understand him better.
Poor Charlie. So misunderstood. The new show will be in question-and-answer format over two hours. Sheen won't be working with Live Nation, which did his first tour, and he had some not-so-nice things to say about the company.
The actor says proceeds from the overseas tour will go towards his new Torpedoes Against Tornadoes Foundation, which is raising money for victims of the recent sweep of tornadoes in the South. Sheen has been amping up his charity work as of late through several events and foundations.
It was recently announced that Two And A Half Men will continue without him.
As we all know, Charlie's quite the talker lately; he recently opened up about his infamous gun incident with ex Kelly Preston. See what he had to say after the jump.
Sheen recently opened up on his tour about a 1990 incident with his fiance at the time, actress Kelly Preston. Preston was hurt when she was with Sheen and a gun went off. The story goes that Preston was picking up a pair of Sheen's pants in a bathroom when a loaded gun fell out of the pocket and a shot went off, though there's always been speculation that something more serious might have happened. The actor plans to revamp his Violent Torpedo of Truth show into An Evening With Charlie Sheen and go on a world tour. - “I think the tour was overbooked and it went on too long. It wasn’t a question of my fatigue factor but I had to keep digging a little deeper each night in the new cities to remind myself that it was new for them."
He said he thinks the new tour will attract more high-brow audiences, and that Europeans will understand him better.
- "If I pick out six cities over two weeks and if it wasn’t about violent torpedoes and truth-seeking but more about an evening with Charlie Sheen, if I told people what to expect maybe they wouldn’t heckle me like the drunk clowns that they are. ... It would seem like the European mentalities would give me a little more time and a little more patience to actually listen and embrace a format like that, where they come in knowing what to expect."

- “I’ve really come to the end of the Live Nation deal. It was my first time and they knew they’d be dealing with a rookie so they could manipulate and smoke screen all the time. But that’s OK. Knowledge is power.â€Â

But the true story is that the shot hit the toilet and shrapnel from the toilet hit Preston, Sheen says. The actor told the crowd at this show that he thought Preston had committed suicide.
- "I thought she was still asleep upstairs. And I heard a f-----g gunshot go off. I thought, 'She did it, she finally f-----g did it. She killed herself and they're going to f-----g blame me.'"
Preston broke off the engagement soon after and was married to John Travolta by 1991.
