Murray230.1.jpgDr. Conrad Murray has been granted a delay in his trial.

Michael Jackson's former doctor, who was with him at the time of his death, applied for the delay on the grounds that his defense attorneys had not been given time to evaluate the prosecution's paperwork.

The long-awaited trial was set to start this week with opening statements. It has now been moved to September.

Murray is charged with involuntary manslaughter. He stands accused of injecting the entertainer with a lethal dose of the sedative propofol on June 25, 2009, resulting in Jackson's death.

Murray, who also had his medical license suspended, has pleaded not guilty.
