Boxing champ Sugar Ray Leonard was in good spirits, and even flashed a few smiles, as he ran a few errands in Beverly Hills on Thursday.
This season's Dancing With The Stars contestant is about to release a memoir which centers on the sexual abuse he suffered from a "prominent Olympic coach" when he was just 15-years-old.
The incident started after the unnamed coach took Leonard, and another teen boxer, to a match in New York in 1971, the New York Times reported.
Leonard reveals he used the awful experiences he suffered as a teen to push him harder. He exclaimed: “I do know that I was in a lot of pain as I chased my dream of winning the gold.’’
The Big Fight: My Life In and Out of the Ring will hit stores next month.
