Last week, Shia LaBeouf made some borderline disrespectful comments to the Los Angeles Times about Transformers series director Michael Bay and how he (Bay) treated Megan Fox during filming. His statements included:
Now, LaBeouf is backtracking. He told MTV:
Bay is your favorite director, Shia? What about, you know, Steven Spielberg, who directed you in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skull?
You're diggin' yourself deeper, Shia!
Transformers: Dark of the Moon, directed by Bay, comes out June 29. Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley replaced Fox in the franchise.- "Michael, who some people think is a very lascivious filmmaker, the way he films women. Mike films women in a way that appeals to a 16-year-old sexuality. ... there was no time for fluffy talk. ... And the one thing Mike lacks is tact.â€Â
Now, LaBeouf is backtracking. He told MTV:
- "I love Mike; we're like brothers. And we have our bickering in public sometimes, but I love Michael. And he's still the favorite director I've ever worked for, and I would work with him again, and I'd do anything for him. ... no way was anything I was trying to say in malice or trying to attack Michael."
