New Shows Lead Emmy Nominations; Mad Men, Glee, Modern Family Rack Up Noms

The 2011 Emmy nominations for primetime television highlighted new programs like Kate Winslet's HBO mini-series Mildred Pierce, which snagged 21 nods.
The cable network's Game of Thrones picked up 13 noms, including outstanding drama series and a nomination for Peter Dinklage for best supporting actor in a drama.
Shows named in the drama category were Boardwalk Empire, Friday Night Lights, Dexter, Game of Thrones, The Good Wife and Mad Men.
Glee is up for best comedy series, along with The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, The Office, Parks and Recreation and 30 Rock. The Office's Steve Carell, who left the show this season, is up for best lead actor in a comedy series. He's been nominated for the past five years and has yet to win.
Best reality show nominees include The Amazing Race, American Idol, Dancing With the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, Project Runway and Top Chef.
