Lindsay Lohan checked in to the Bacara Resort in Santa Barbara last night at 2am in preparation to attend the Kim Kardashian's wedding to Kris Humphries today!

Linds brought along her mom Dina and the two should be getting all dolled up in their room right about now. We're told Kim and Kris' wedding will start late afternoon.

So how and why was Lindsay invited to the event of the year? Well Lindsay was friends with Kim way back when and apparently Kim found a place in her heart (and on her guest list) for an old pal. Awwww ...
