MadonnaSuperBowl230.jpgMadonna will perform at the Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show, says SBNation.com.

The show isn't until February 5, but it would mark the first time Madge has performed at the event. She's been approached several times before, but it never worked out.

The past 10 years have seen U2, No Doubt, Sting, Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Prince, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, The Who, The Black Eyed Peas and Usher perform -- in other words, some of the biggest names in music.

We have to wonder how Madge would do in such an arena -- the show is supposed to be family friendly, and Madonna is notoriously controversial in her performances, from her famous "Like A Virgin" romp to kissing Britney Spears.
