After his 72-day marriage to Kim Kardashian ended with a divorce filing, Kris Humphries is ready to move and on with his life, minus the drama.

The NBA star appeared on Good Morning America Friday morning, with mom Debra, to speak out about his career and charity projects -- but the hosts seemed more interested in his divorce from the reality star than discussing his upcoming projects.

After being grilled by the GMA hosts on why his marriage with Kim K ended so quickly, Humphries expressed:

"For me, it's just certain things happen in life and you've got to move forward. Through everything I'm just focused on family and preparing for basketball. Basketball has always been something I've taken really serious and I continue to do that and I'm just moving forward."

The former couple, who dated just 8 months before tying the knot in a lavish Santa Barbara ceremony, are now seeing their relationship play out on the current season of Kourtney & Kim Take New York -- Kris says he doesn't watch.

So does Kris blame his failed marriage on reality TV?

"I have never really been someone to watch the show, on TV, or anything like that. I can't say for sure or not for sure [if the cameras hurt my marriage]. It's the only time I've been married. I've been in the NBA since I was 19 years old, but it's a different level. I'm focused on just what I can control. I don't really play into all the gossip and things that take place, but that's life."

For now, Kim K's ex-hubby is focusing on his charity, which helps fights childhood obesity, and playing professional basketball.

"Really right now I'm focused on basketball and other things will take care of themselves. It's a great day for the NBA and the fans," he said. "The only things I watch on TV of myself is playing basketball. I've never really been one to watch the show on TV. For me my focus is just basketball, my foundation, my family and moving through life."

Kris's mom added: "The important thing is that we stay close as a family - it's our faith in God that carries us through all of these times. We have so much to be thankful for right now. We're looking forward not backward."

Humphries recently filed for annulment after Kim filed for divorce on October 31.
