Russell Brand stepped out in New Orleans on Thursday afternoon rocking his quirky style in a pair of ripped skinny jeans, tight tank, a pretty scarf and a black fedora hat, while on a shopping trip with a guy friend.

The newly single Arthur star is currently in the Bayou State to begin filming his latest untitled film project, which centers on a young conservative woman who suffers "a crisis of faith" after a plane crash.

Katy Perry's ex hubby is also gearing up to begin production on Strangely Uplifting, which is his first television production deal for Brand Films. Sounds like Brand's remedy for a split is work, work, work!
