Ashton Kutcher will play Steve Jobs in Jobs, a new independent biopic directed by Joshua Michael Stern, according to Variety.
The film will “chronicle Steve Jobs from wayward hippie to co-founder of Apple,†and while we weren't sure about this casting choice at first, Kutcher does bear a striking resemblance to the young Jobs.
Sony Pictures is also developing a Jobs biopic (rumored leads are George Clooney and Noah Wyle), which is based on writer Walter Isaacson's critically-acclaimed biography.
Jobs died of pancreatic cancer last October at the age of 56, and it's not yet known whether the movie will follow his later years with the company he built. Kutcher will reportedly film Jobs while on hiatus from Two and a Half Men.
Think this is a good role for him?
