Simon Cowell On Britney Spears Joining X-Factor: "We’ll Have To Find Out Very Soon"

Although he tried to play coy, Simon Cowell is making us believe that Britney Spears really WILL be signing on to X-Factor as a guest judge this season!

Cowell called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” on Friday morning to chat about Miss Spears joining the second season of his hit show, telling the American Idol judge:

“If it was my decision, 100%…if we could get her. We’ll have to find out very soon…if we’ve spoken to her. Don’t forget there are a lot of names that have been bandied around, some true, some false. But we’ve said to everyone we’ve spoken to, we’ve got to keep quiet about it. You got to wait until people sign up, but we’re very, very close.”

Cowell added, “The X Factor will be back this fall for season 2. Do you have The X Factor? If you are a solo artist or vocal group and are ages 12 and up, you can audition for The X Factor season 2!"
