jennifer-lopez-quits-idol-230.jpgJennifer Lopez has hinted that she'll leave American Idol after two seasons with the show, and now a source tells E! Online that the 42-year-old singer is "planning on calling it quits ... She's just too busy."

Lopez appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show the other day, and she remarked that she was unsure of her future with Idol.

"I really do enjoy it," she told Ellen. "Now this is my second year -- I don't know if I can go for a third year. I miss doing other things. It really does lock you down, which was nice the first year with the babies being three, but now they're getting more mobile, they're about to go into school ... So I just don't know."

Lopez signed a one year contract in 2010 and again in 2011 for $12 million a season, so we have to wonder if the recent news of Britney Spears' $15 million X Factor payday have prompted salary negotiations.

Fox hasn't commented on the matter, but a source close to the show tells E! that "Fox does not want to let her go. They love her."
