ZZhang032809_01_230pic.jpg Zhang Ziyi is suing two Chinese media outlets for libel, after they released stories claiming the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon actress was paid roughly $110 million over several years to have sex with Chinese officials, Bloomberg News reports.

The Rush Hour 2 star vehemently denied the claims, and is now seeking unspecified damages in addition to an injunction prohibiting the re-publishing of stories by Next Media Ltd. According to her lawyers, Ziyi has suffered "immense grievance and distress" from the reports.

Chinese Politburo member Bo Xilai was the subject of a government probe, and reports also claimed Ziyi was questioned due to her relationship with the politician and barred from leaving China. The lawsuit says these stories are "seriously defamatory of and concerning the plantiff and are false."

Next Media declined to comment on the suit.
