Katie Holmes Takes Suri To An Art Studio In NYC

Since filing for divorce from Tom Cruise early this month, Katie Holmes has been working overtime to make sure her darling daughter Suri stays busy and active!

The newly single mom showed off her incredible legs in a red and blue stripped dress, while the stylish 6-year-old looked pretty in an orange dress and red ballet flats, as she clutched one of her many stuffed animals while on her way into an art studio in NYC on Saturday morning, with bodyguards in tow.

It's recently been reported that Holmes has enrolled Suri in the prestigious $38,000 a year Catholic all-girls school in Manhattan, Convent of the Sacred Heart, once attended by Lady GaGa, Paris and Nicky Hilton and Caroline Kennedy. The move to put Suri in school most likely could not have happened, if the former Dawson's Creek star hadn't filed for sole custody in her divorce from the dedicated Scientologist.

Holmes now has primary custody of Suri under the terms of the settlement and the Mission: Impossible star will have visitation rights, but the actress was given the lead role in choosing how Suri will be educated. Her parents may have officially split, but Suri's life appears to be taking a turn for the best!
